life update, nyxthea designs
I haven't updated this place for a couple of weeks now. I've been busy with life. I'm hoping to put up a new layout for Luscious soon. I actually haven't made a new one but I'll probably do that after I turn in my 10 page politics essay...which I need to start tomorrow :(
I've been quite busy with school. It's finals week. I have three finals done and only the one essay left. I don't really know what to expect for this summer. I'll be living at home the whole summer which is going to be weird. I haven't been living at home for long periods of time and this time I will actually live there for 3 months. It's a lot. But I did get a M-F job with Fund for the Public Interest so that will be good. I won't be sitting at home doing nothing. I'll be knocking on people's doors and talking to them about environmental protection.
As you might have noticed, I removed cutenews because it was getting annoying. There was too much spam so I just removed the comments field. I want to upgrade to Word Press but I'm not really sure if its worth the effort. We'll see.
I've opened my designs site. I closed BitterEndings.net a long time ago but I'm really into designing website layouts again and so this time I have....NYXTHEA DESIGNS. Awesome name, ain't it? It's greek.
Check it out. Spread the word. Order.
nyxthea.dropaheart.orgBesides that my brain is looking fine. I did the MRV (it's like an MRI but it takes images of the vains in the brain) and I also did an LP/Spinal tap. The spinal tap was actually ok. They stuck a really long needle between my vertebrae. That part didn't hurt much but the anesthetic burn for like 20 seconds. It doesn't hurt that bad afterwords but I didn't really 'rest' too much- like they told me- so I ended up getting back pain for like 4 days. It wasn't excruciating, just an aching pain. Like when your muscles are sore from exercising. I don't know why I'm describing this to you, it's not like you'll have to do it But my doctor gave me water pills which should decrease the pressure in my brain. They make me pee a lot which is annoying but oh well. I also have to take these extremely huge potassium pills since the water pills decrease potassium levels. I swear to God, my body is an incubator for health problems. I wouldn't be surprised if I die of a heart stroke or something.

new layout
So as you can see I've uploaded a new layout. It's been a long time since I've had a dark theme. It's got Amber Heard.
I'm also accepting affiliation. If you're interested use the contact form.
Life-wise, I went and got my MRV done. It took less time than the MRI. I have my spinal tap this upcoming Tuesday. I'm kind of scared because they stick this horse needle in your spinal cord and draw out spinal fluid...it's pretty scary. And it takes about 6-7 hours. The procedure takes about 15 minutes but I have to stay in the hospital for them to make sure that the hole they put in my spinal cord doesn't get infected, etc...
Oh a more positive note, I got a job working for a civil rights activists group for this summer.

Colorization Tutorial & PSDs
I finally was able to get an appointment with a Neurologist. It's been about 2 weeks since I had my MRI and my Ophthalmologist was getting antsy. American doctors are so scared of malpractice, seriously. They care more about money than the lives of patients. Anyways, I'm going to see the neurologist on Monday which means that I'll be missing classes but I will see my parents and that will be fun I miss my mom, I haven't seen her since Spring Break...which was actually about 3 weeks ago but still. I like hanging out with her.
I'm also going to a Hawaiian celebration tomorrow. It's called Lu'au and it's hosted by the Hawaii club. They have a lot of educational, entertainment and great food so I'm excited about that.
I also went to my Health Clinic at my college to get some physical exams done and stuff since I don't have Health Insurance and it would cost me more money to go to a Primary Physician. They took a bunch of blood and stuff to test it and apparently I have anemia. Do you know what my reaction was? "Yup...that sounds about right." I was not surprised at all. In fact, I felt stupid for not actually realizing that ahead of time. But then again, it's not like I an have iron measuring scale on me. Normal iron levels are supposed to be at 36 mine was at 5. Yes. 5! No wonder I'm always tired even though I sleep 10 hours a day and take naps.
My body is a incubator for health problems. I think by the time I'm 30, I'll probably get cancer at the rate I'm going. I've already had an ulcer, a kidney stone and pseudotumor cerebri. Oh and there might be blindness but we'll have to wait and see how the hypertension from the psuedotumor goes. I'll keep my fingers crossed
On a positive and school related note, today, I had so many applications to fill out and turn in. Just lots of work stuff for this summer and next year. Oh I didn't get the summer RA/TA job. I was pretty pissed off actually because I've already done it once and I have a lot of experience yet I didn't get it. Oh well. Time for new things I guess. I do want to be a tutor there though.
I also signed up for new classes and I'm taking: Religion and Politics, Multiculturalism/Nationalism/Cosmopolitanism, Existentialism, and Sociological Theory. All are 300 level classes except one so I'm pretty curious to see how much homework and stuff I have to do.
Site-wise, I've added a PSDs section. I've uploaded 7 images. I have more but that's all I have time to add tonight.
