My whole body is sore, especially my right shoulder. We played a lot of volleyball during the three day camp training and so now my muscles hurt like hell. I don't exercise, at all, so playing sports randomly gets my muscles sore automatically.

I'm listening to Rihanna's new song Disturbia and I really like it. I don't know if it's new or not but I like it, the vibe is awesome. I wish she would sing more songs like that, ones about misery and pain rather than her other songs. It has meaning and it sounds heartfelt. Oh and the movie with Shia Labouf is also really good, you should def watch it.

So after working 14 hours a day during training, I'm actually inspired. I'm really inspired to make graphics. It's really crazy. I hate it when this happens. Whenever, I don't have time to make graphics, I want to make graphics because I feel motivated. And the reason why I want to make graphics is because I'm experiencing new things in life and such (by constantly being tired & busy). Ridiculous logic.

I kind of want to watch Hannah Montana right now, just to relax and kick back. I'm not in the mood for something serious. I can't do that though. I'm a contestant in the Battle of the Boards forum and so I have to make a blage (blend/collage) with another person and that person happens to have the exact opposite time schedule is mine because she lives in the opposite side of the world. It's annoying. If you're going to pair people up, at least pair them out with the same time schedule. I didn't get to choose my partner, if you're asking why I'm complaining.

Anyways, I have to start the graphic today and send it to the other person. I want to finish it between today and tomorrow because I have to be at camp tomorrow again to start working so I won't have a lot of time to spend on doing graphics. I'm going to have to wake up at 6 am and go to bed at 12 am in the morning. I know, it's crazy but they're giving me room and board and they're paying me $1500 which I can use for my school year expenses, especially books. Also, my parents don't have jobs right now (Thanks Papa Bush!! You're wonderful ) so I need all the money that I can make.

This is out of topic but every president is supposed to leave a legacy, something beneficial/good for the country to remember them by. So my question is: What do you think is President Bush's legacy for the American public ? Because, quite truthfully, I have no idea. And you can't say that he annihilated Saddam Hussein and helped the Iraqi's get rid of him because Hussein became president of Iraq during Bush Senior's presidency. Father puts, son undoes.

So what do you think Bush's Legacy is?

Dear God,
I'm so tired!!!

I started by RA/TA training yesterday. I had to wake up at 6 am in the morning to go to my University, where my job/camp is. Training began at 9 am and we didn't finish until 11:30 pm. So tired!! I hope they'll pay me money soon because that's the only thing that's keeping me going

I had to take a shower last night before I went to bed because I'm not those people that are too lazy to take a shower in the morning. I'm also one of those people that don't like to blow dry their hair which I would have to do if I took a shower in the morning. Anyways, that also meant that I went to bed at 12 am. THEN, since I take a long time to fall asleep, I didn't go to bed until 1 am. Yeppee!!!!!

So now I'm tired and exhausted. Yesterday's schedule was jam packed with training but today is looking better. I get to go home tomorrow at 3 pm which is nice I only get to stay 2 nights at home then I have to come back to camp.

I don't think I'll be doing this camp thing anymore after this. Theyr'e so many breaks in between. The only problem is that I don't drive so I have to ask my dad to drive. That's the problem with living in a city that has Max/Trains everywhere, is that you grow independent of a car and you think "i don't need to drive, I can just use train' which you do but then as you start to move away, you need a car more and more. Oh well. I guess I'll get my license sometime this year. I need to get it.

Another problem with driving and having a car is that once you get a car, everyone wants to be your friend. Especially in college. I know it seems a lot like that in High School but in college a lot of people don't have cars because either, one they can't afford it or two they can't get one because they don't live in the state the college is in. So people expect the person who has a car to be 'generous' and to be their personal choffer. I personally never ask any of my friends to drive me anywhere, I just use the bus, the trian or my parents. It's just rude and insensitive to ask someone to drive you somewhere when they haven't ask you, especially since gas prices are so high. Gas prices have reached $4 here where I liev (NW U.S.) and apparently it's around $4.50 in Cali.

Thanks Papa Bush. You're wonderful. Another cheer to you! I like the times of Bill Clinton.

I'm somewhat happy that Obama is in the lead or maybe he's in the lead. Although, I was a lot happier that Hillary was running for president. As a gender, we females have always been opressed and considered the weakest of the two genders. In order for things to be equal for the two sexes, we need to have equal opportunity for both, like having a female president for a change.

I think it's ridiculous what some people think about having a female president. I'll start with my dear mother's preception. My mom and I were talking about race and gender in relation to this year's election and apparently she thinks that a women would be inept at leading a country. She think that because Hillary is a woman and not a man, she can be too subjective and unable to put her personal emotions aside to lead the country towards success. I told her its bullshit but it's not she doesn't like to listen.

My mom has adapted the idea that whatever American society has been teaching me is wrong and that I'm stubborn about my ideas because of that. She no longer argues with me but just says 'okay' as in 'whatever, i don't want to argue with you because you're an stubborn american who won't change their mind.' I'm sorry but I won't stand for someone telling me that I can't do something because I'm a female. I'm get enought crap about people telling me i can't do this and that because I wear a hijab, I don't need anyone telling me 'you can't do this, you're a women.'

I don't really blame my mom though, I blame the society that she grew up in. Women are oppressed way too often and degraded in way too many countries than what it should be. I think that's something that every woman should take as her mission to accomplish. If each individual women, and willing men, take it upon themselves to monitor and change their assumptions about the genders and defend their rights, then someday women can live freely without fear of oppression and inequality.

Yay! The sun came out. Exciting. I'm actually sitting in a computer lab and looking out the window. The state capital is right infront of me. Isn't that cool? Also, there's a guy made in gold, supposedly.

forced creativity + disney mania
Jasmine ♥ 15 Jun 2008 ♥ 0 Commented

Desperate times, call for desperate measures. When I'm bored, desperately, I turn to Disney.com to entertain me. How you might ask? Hannah Montana. Hell yeah! It's the show that I absolutely love to watch When I'm bored and have nothing to do. While the humor is lacking in every way and it's no Friends, it's still entertaining. It reminds me of the childhood I never head- being a teenager by day and a pop star by night. Who wouldn't want that?

So the episode that I had the absolute luck of watching last night was the one with the Jonas Brothers. I know their name, I've seen them on TV but I don't really get what's so amazing about them that they're so popular. I mean, I kind of get why Miley Cyrus is popular, she got a good voice and a lot of potential as a singer and a hit show but I don't really know from where the BROS poped out of....???

Since I didn't know who the Jonas Bros were really are, I decided to check them out at iTunes. The BROS have got 5082 reviews just for their latest album. Wow. I thought, if they had that many reviews than they must have good songs. I listened. I pondered. I hated. I closed my iTunes store to run as far away as possible.

What the hell does S.O.S stand for, I kept thinking while listening to the said song. I googled it: What does S.O.S stand for in the jonas brothers song? Oh Google! Thou has the power of knowledge! Give it to me. And it did...yepeeee!

The S.O.S is a distress signal from the heart of a boy who can't get the girl he loves.

Well, enough said about that. I saw the E! premiere of Camp Rock last night and it was insane. People have got to take a pill.

Even though I'm not a fan, Joe is super cute. Apparently, he's 19. I wonder why some musicians make music that they don't listen to. 19 year old guys don't listen to songs by the Jonas Brothers, they listen to Usher and Snoop Dog. It's somewhat unfortuante that singers have to give up what they want to sing in order to sing what will make them the most money.

'Nuff said. I made a layout with Katherine Heigl for Castle on a Cloud challenges. I really like it.

I'm happy with how it came out. The blue looks really good too. Whenever I want to make a layout, I can't and when I'm not expecting myself to make a layout, I end up making one I'm proud of. It's really frustrating. Creativity doesn't like to be forced.
