So I haven't updated this site with stuff in a long time and I probably won't until this weekend. I've meaning to add the 'new stuff' that I've been talking about but life is just too busy for that right now.

I applied to work at Telefund, I think I talked about it in my previous blog. But anyways, I didn't get that. Apparently I wasn't the 'right fit' for the job, according to the interviewer. That's okay though because I applied with the people that work behind Telefund and they accepted me. So now I have a job as a Student Outreach Ambassador. We call prospective students and ask them if they have any questions about college, etc... It's a pretty fun job.

Apparently since Telefund asks Alumni for money you're not supposed to talk about anything related to protest or old people confused and I didn't know that when I did my interview so when they asked me what would you talk about with an Alumni from the same major as you? I said (I'm a sociology major) that I would discuss White Supremacy with them in terms of the Ku Klux Klan because I think that's a very interesting topic.

Yeah....I think they probably thought that I was a definite no-no right after I said that. Oh well. Things happen. I wanted Telefund not for the pleasure of talking to old people but because it pays $10/hr.

So yeah...but my new job is easier and fun and my friend works at it so we can socialize if we want and the supervisors are students and they're super nice. Wow..the previous sentence was grammatically so incorrect I don't think I even care to edit cheeky

Even though I haven't made any graphics in ages ( I mean ages when I say ages) I did actually do some video airbrushing and posted them on my YouTube account.

Aside from that stuff, I dropped Calculus and I'm taking American Politics instead which is definitely more enjoyable.

Gossip Girl tonight so I'm super excited. I'm not a big fan of the teacher though...it's time they sack her. She's not that interesting. Also Dan is getting on my nervous. The only hot male character in that show is Chuck, the other two are just boring.

Now I have to go do my St. Augustine reading on Free Choice of the Well. I have an essay due on why lust is evil yay

Thanks for all your nice comments, I definitely tried to comment back on all of them :D

That's what I want to commit to my calculus homework. It's freaking ridiculus. We use this online database called Webwork to do calculus homework. You put in the answer and it tells you if you're right and wrong. It also counts how many times you've tried the problem, which can be embarrasing once I go above 10 times. I've already spent like 5 hours doing the 20 problems or whatever. But I got stuck and now I've given up, oh well...

My weekend went by so fast. I need to not do stuff so that I can study and relax more. I volunteered at the hospital and it was soo boring. The lady that was there was a different one from my training and so she wasn't very creative in giving me stuff to do. The training lady had me running around for 4 hours and the time with her went by really quickly.

Oh but funny story silly There was this old lady who has been coming to the ER for the past 5 or whatever years. Apparently she just has the ambulance bring her from her house sometimes for no reason at all but mostly because 'she's lonely.' Anyways, she was at the hospital this Saturday when I worked there and she just wouldn't leave after the nurse checked her out. She kept bad mouthing the security guys and calling them bad names. She looked like she was in her 80s but man oh man, she was full of obscene words.

I haven't updated this site with new graphics or resources for a long time. I have a lot of tutorials that I had made during my break that I need to upload. I just need to find the motivation and time to do it.

Some questions:
• What's your favorite food/dish?
• If you had to meet one actress, who would it be?
• When you go to a department store which section do you immediately run off to?

My answers;
• What's your favorite food/dish? Chicken Alfredo Broccoli Pasta, together they're amazing.
• If you had to meet one actress, who would it be? Emma Watson or Keira Knightley
• When you go to a department store which section do you immediately run off to? Electronics

MLK Weekend

So I'm applying for a job at Telefund, basically where you call university Alumni, students, family and friends to ask them to donate money because it's a private school. Anyways, you have to do 2 interviews, a phone interview and a person interview. I just did the phone interview which lasted 20 minutes and it was so nerve racking, if that's even a phrase...

I don't know why I was so nervous! I'm very a social person and I don't have a problem talking to strangers...It wasn't a complete run down of a interview, I mean I think I was very eloquent and answered the question but I got stuck two times and my voice was definitely cracking. When the lady asked me 'Why do you think you would be a good fit for Telefund?' I was like 'Um...' followed by an answer but generally when you're in an interview you don't want to start out your answer with an 'um' so I wasn't proud of myself for that. It lasted for 20 long minutes...ugh, I just hope I get it. I need the money.

I have my second interview scheduled for this Monday. That one is going to be fine considering that it's a person-person interview. For God's sake, I did great on my RA interview (which took 3 months!!!) and I'm having a hard time with this little one...ugh.

Let's move on...So today is MLK (Martin Luther King) day and we've been having all these different events and speakers throughout the week to celebrate and reflect. I'm going to a talk with Bernice Johnson Reagan tonight. She's folk singer and was part of the Civil Rights movement, I think. I'm pretty excited. I've heard nonstop about it from my Politics professor.

I have lots of homework. A lot but definitely not undo-able. I'm going to hang out with friends, do a hall program with other RAs and watch Pineapple Express with a friend of mine. Oh and I have to volunteer at the hospital tomorrow. I've got a packed weekend I think.

What are you doing this weekend? If you're not doing anything exciting what would your ideal/fantasy weekend would include?

Has anyone seen The Duchess? I had to pause it in the first scene where you first see Ralph Fiennes and Keira Knightely in the same frame...I paused and and yielded, "oh know! Not Voldemort and Keira!" It was an aqua turtle moment...

But that movie is certainly very emotional, at least for me. I still haven't finished it. I can only handle 30 minutes at a time. I think I'm at the part where he rapes her and I had to stop there. All I wanted to do was get a knife and murder him for what a worthless excuse of a human being he is. Just disgusting what he did to her and her friend all because she can't give him a 'male heir.' She has 2 miscarriages that are male and he thinks that it's her fault. When that happened in the movie I just wanted to throw a shoe at him. He seriously needed a lesson in genetics. He's the one with the Y chromosome not her and since her miscarriages were only male clearly he's got a genetic mutation in his Y chromosome. Why is so hard for men to accept responsibility?? Ugh...this is making me very frustrated right now urg
